Al‐Jubail Petrochemical Co. (KEMYA)

Al-Jubail Petrochemical Co. is a joint venture between SABIC and Exxon Mobil, located in in the east coast town of Jubail. The company began production of ethylene, propylene and polyethylene in 1984 and is now building a multimillion dollar elastomers plant at the site that will be ready in 2015. Construction of the 400,000 ton-a-year synthetic rubber facility which seeks to meet growing demand for synthetic rubber in the Middle East and Asia Pacific, includes storage tanks and spheres.

 

The Solution:

 

EEIC was contracted to provide 21 medium voltage switchgears, 55 medium voltage control gears, 96 low voltage switchgears, and 336 low voltage control gears for this large-scale project.
